     Friends of occam,

     The ARCH library supports threads and a variety of communication 
     styles (including synchronous), in a manner claimed to be compatible 
     with occam, and is built on top of an MPI interface. It also claims 
     object orientation. Perhaps it has some relevance for Kroc and/or 
     JavaPP?
