Cell processor

I know from previous discussion that I'm not alone in wanting to get my
hands on a Cell processor and see what it can do.  This article:
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/06/09/news_6127219.html suggests that
if you put the optional hard disk in the Cell-powered PS3, you will be
able to run Linux and turn it into a fairly standard computer, and then
presumably develop on it.  Sony seem to be hyping the PS3 as a
do-anything machine not just a console - interesting stuff.
